After reading I realized I had no ide about the rates of abuse that tends to have dropped during the pandemic and that this is a false drop because many people did not have had the opportunity to come out and report and because children were not spotted at regular places from where it was easier to identify cases of abuse. Luckily my family was not affected by this issue but emotionally and financially we suffered a great deal. I live alone far form my parents and due to pandemic, I could not meet them for almost a year and when my mother got sick because of the Covid I was unable to visit her and that hurt me a lot. Video calls were a common means to connect.
